We have the skills, know-how and capability to install new systems or perform upgrades to suit your needs. We pride ourselves on working professionally, quickly and cleanly to ensure your central heating installation is accomplished with minimal fuss and disruption to your home.
If you’ve extended your property or have a space that is inadequately heated by your current radiators, then you’ll benefit from our radiator installation services.
We can install a wide variety of radiators, including:
Single panel radiators
Double panel radiators
Victorian or column radiators
Heated towel rails
Whether you require radiator installation as part of a larger central heating installation or as a stand-alone service, our experienced team can deliver. We can advise you on the style and material of the radiator and can even recommend placement. Whilst most radiators are typically placed underneath windows (to allow the warm air to circulate effectively around the room), we’re happy to advise you on alternative locations in the home.

Here at MLT Plumbing & Heating, we can take care of every aspect of the central heating installation process. From boiler installation and smart heating controls to installing radiators and fitting central heating pipes, we provide a joined-up service to customers in Plymouth and across the surrounding areas of Saltash, Tavistock, Sherford and Ivybridge.
No matter the kind of central heating works you require, we can supply and fit the best system for your home.
The two main types of central heating system we work with are wet systems and dry systems. A wet system is the kind most commonly found in homes throughout the UK. This works by pushing hot water (heated by a gas boiler) through pipes that lead directly to radiators, allowing them to warm up and distribute heat throughout the room. A dry system (sometimes referred to as a warm air system) is less frequently found in homes (though commonly found in office buildings or commercial properties). This works by warming air in a heat exchanger and then blowing it into rooms via vents in the wall. This type of system is sometimes found in older properties that have been converted into dwellings (i.e. former shops or doctor’s surgeries) or in large multiple occupancy residences, such as student houses.
Once you’ve identified the system that’s compatible with your boiler and best suits your needs, it’s time to decide on the placement of your boiler and radiators. You will also need to take into account whether you’ll require a cold-water tank or a hot water cylinder. Our team of expert heating engineers handle this process from start to finish. We will ensure you’ve been shown how to use any heating controls or additional equipment, such as smart thermostats before they leave.
