Boiler FAQs

What brands of boiler do you install?

Currently, we install energy efficient boilers from Worcester Bosch, Alpha, Ideal and Vaillant.

Can you service and maintain any kind of boiler?

We can service and repair gas boilers from any manufacturer.

How long does it take to install a boiler?

This depends entirely on the complexity of the system and the scope of the project. However, we can generally install a boiler within a day.

My boiler has broken down, can you help me?

We certainly can! We offer a comprehensive and reliable boiler repair service, simply call us on 07446 913226 to arrange an appointment.

When should I replace my boiler?

As modern boilers have a long lifespan (around 15 years), you shouldn’t need to replace it until it breaks down irreparably or the projected repair costs aren’t economical.

Are you on the Gas Safe Register?

Yes, we are on the Gas Safe Register. Our membership number is 549751. Our engineers all carry membership cards, showing they’re a registered Gas Safe engineer.

Are your heating engineers fully qualified?

Yes, our heating engineers are fully qualified and hold industry recognised certifications, in addition to on-the-job accreditations.

Do you fit smart thermostats?

Yes, we can fit smart thermostats from Worcester, Nest and Ideal.

If I smell gas in my property, what should I do?

The Gas Safe Register’s advice should always be followed if you smell gas in your home:

  1. Turn off your supply at the emergency control valve, if it’s safe to do so
  2. Extinguish any naked flames and do not smoke
  3. Open all doors and windows to ventilate the area
  4. Get outside for fresh air and contact the National Gas Emergency Line on 0800 111 999 to report the issue
  5. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention immediately and inform them that you might’ve been exposed to carbon monoxide.

Central Heating FAQs

What is system flushing?

A system flush is a treatment designed to flush out sludge, debris and limescale from your central heating system. By removing these contaminants, the treatment improves the efficiency of your system and can help to resolve issues such as cold spots in your radiators or a lazy heating system.

My radiator has cold spots, what can I do?

If your radiator has cold spots, it could mean there’s air trapped or a build-up of sludge in the system. Our team of heating engineers can resolve these issues by bleeding and balancing the radiators or by power flushing the system.

Plumbing FAQs

Do you install bathrooms?

Yes, we can install bathrooms and assist with all aspects of the fit-out and plumbing work.

I’ve got a blocked sink, can you help?

Yes, we can deal with all kinds of plumbing blockages, including sinks, baths, showers and toilets. Simply call us to arrange an appointment.

Where do you offer your plumbing services?

From our base in Plymouth, we serve the entire city (including Plympton and Plymstock) and the surrounding areas of Saltash, Sherford, Ivybridge and Tavistock. We can take on work in locations further afield (such as Liskeard, Torbay and Bodmin) upon request.
