Safety Checks & Inspections
Anyone who rents out a property is legally responsible for ensuring they have gas safety certificates for each property on their books. This certificate (also known as a CP12 certificate) is valid for 12 months. It authenticates that all the gas appliances, flues and pipework in the property are working safely and correctly. This check ensures tenants are protected against gas or carbon monoxide leaks.
